Just took the 71 pagoda in for restoration.
The car is probably about 90% there, but I want it 100%.
signal red with black leather.  A/c- one repaint-in original color.  Veh has 44k miles.  Interior is original
Other car is 01 sport model.

Terry:
The cars look awesome!  I think you need a red 560SL (R107) in the middle to make the photo complete...
Where did you have the restoration work done?

The 71 pagoda is in the restoration shop now.  The picture was taken a few days before I took it in.  The car has 44k miles with one repaint in the correct color.  The blk leather is original and excellent along with the whole interior.  Paint is perfect, front chrome and rear chrome is like new.  I took it to M.B. services in Murrieta, Ca.  Two owners there each have 30 years restoring classic mercedes.  They have the motor torn apart right now and are bead blasting parts and have alot of parts sent out for cad plating.  I TOLD THEM THAT THEY HAVE CARTE BLANCHE TO MAKE THE CAR PERFECT SHOW QUALITY!!  Since the car was 90% there, I am hopeing it doesn't cost me an arm an a leg!  Speaking of the R107 I will try to cut and paste a picture!!! *** I think I got the picture to work***  It is a picture of my 3 cars before I got the 71sl and 01 sl.  My neighbors think I am crazy!!  Do you think I like red??

I'm speechless!
The cars all look great.  I have been looking for a good condition low mileage 560SL for quite some time.  Do you still own all three?  Please e-mail me directly if you want to chat about this some more.  I live in the LA area.  e-mail: jgouzo@yahoo.com
Here's a pic of my 71 280SL.  I know you like red but mine's midnight blue...
Thanks!
Joe

There is a good article on the R-107 in this month's issue of the Mercedes-Enthusiast.
