Hello everyone, I own a 280 SL in France and I would like to take over the linkage part completely. I bought the kit and changed all the ball joints, rubber, and nickeled the steels. Now we have to put it all back together. I found some information but do you have a tutorial or something else regarding the adjustment and reassembly of all this? in the technical part there is a small help part which gives me information. On YouTube I found only the beginning of a good explanation but it indicates another video for the setting that I cannot find: on YouTube: Pagoda Rescue Part 8
Thank you again for your help on this forum.

As a Full member you have access to the Technical Manual. Go to it and under Fuel system and Maintenance there is the Linkage Tour that gives you the assembly and adjustments.

yes indeed I found a lot of things. I'm looking for a video like the previous one because my English French translation is not always easy. Thanks again in any case and congratulations to the forum. I will definitely need help with the rest....

Might be worth having a word with Figoulu, he's done a lot of work on his car and has posted videos of the work, he might be able to help
if you click on his name, there a PM button where you can send him a message

Francois (Figoulu) lives across the river from Avignon in Villeneuve les Avignon and has created a dozen or so YouTube videos "en Francaise" of the work he has done on his 230SL. Search " #lfgdf " in YouTube.

Hi Guys,
Can I assume the engine must be at normal operating temperature, before attempting the linkage tour.
Regards
Chris

Engine temp has no bearing on the linkage set-up.

That's interesting, as the warm up regulator (or whatever you call the thermostat on top of the FIP) would be adjusting the fuel/air mixture as it warms up.
