35, soon to be 36, but I agree, not really sure how relevant, age is just a number ;)

Interesting... I'm in the second smallest group of owners at 34... I sincerely wish I'd owned this car at 19 though.

Hey, if this poll goes on much longer I'll automatically move from the second largest group to the largest group. I feel like I'm a member of the smallest group, though! (Well, sometimes... not all the time!)  ;)

Hey, I've been in all 5 groups!

Me too :) I was 22 when I took delivery of my 250 SL back in May '67 and just had turned 24 when I traded it in on my 280 SL. Have had a Pagoda in the garage for 45 years now. The joy of driving this car is the same today as it was all those years ago.

Hey, I've been in all 5 groups!

Well, I too just recently graduated! As of April 26th, I am no longer a 49er ...

I was 25 when I officially took over the title. I was 17 when I first drove my Pagoda.

My car was born in August 1969 - three years after me.  I first drove my car when I was 22 andlast drove it when I was 26, 10 minutes after my Dad caught me power drifting it around a corner.  Apparently he thought I was too agressive for the car.   It was a breeze drifting it compared to my MGB but much harder than my BMW 2002.

45, and in the second largest group.

It is interesting to note the relation between the age of the owners and the age of their cars. I think in Europe people mostly restore/collect the cars they saw in the streets when they were kids, while in the US people collect more the cars they started driving or that were in the streets at that time. Following that logic, most 50+ here would be US citizens, while younger ones would be of European origin. I don't know the relation in other parts of the world though. From what I've seen during my trips into Asia and Africa it seems enthousiats there are even younger.

Would be interesting to ask what age members were when they first bought their pagoda. We might be old farts now but maybe we are actually young farts that just stayed loyal. Bought mine when I was 35 but now the big 50 is approaching fast.

I was 27 when my dad bought what is now my Pagoda. I'm a hair (perhaps I should say no hair!) under 55 at this point.

I took delivery of my 1971 280SL in May of 2011. It was my 50th birthday present. Best present I have ever received!

Mine was flatbedded to me in Febuary of 2009, a month before my 50th birthday.
But, it was more of a midlife crisis than a birthday present.  ;D
I've had my Camaro for over 35 years and I know a Camaro doesn't count, but even with that I still can't beat 49er.  ;)

Ah no, hardly.... ;)
There's nobody having the car longer than you have, John. :D

Bought my 1st 230-partscar at age of 23; car had same age as me back then.
Now the car is 26 years older - so am I. :D ;D
