Tape player
Here's what I know about where the tape player goes. Technically, there was a hanging bar that wraps around the top of the Becker olympia tape player and screws into either side of the unit. It's a U-shape. I'm told by a friend of mine who used to be a Becker dealer in the 50's and 60's that the bar was frequently ommitted and the tape player was just left sitting in the glovebox with nothing more than the tautness of the cord behind it to hold it in place. I've seen several examples that confirm this. Apparently, that hanging bar is hard to come by today, but I suppose fashioning something would be easy. I've also noticed these Olympias were frequently installed in plain view under the dash somewhere beneath the radio.
