Exhaust header and pitman arm
« on: April 25, 2018, 13:37:08 »
Hey all,

Working on getting a 1970 280sl back on the road. It was running 5 years ago but was in the first stages of a mild restoration by a family friend when he had a stroke that put a full stop to progress. I am tackling the task of getting it back together and so far have found the front half of the exhaust header missing (US car, left hand drive) and I cannot find the pitman arm. Sort of strange to have those two pieces gone but that's what I am dealing with so far.

Any parts or leads would be helpful!

Thanks
Oh, I am in Athens GA, fyi.

Great! (holds breath) Would you shoot me a PM on price?

The family has some money to get parts so I can relay to them what I find out.

Thank you so much!
Eric

111-463-25-01 pitman arm is out of production. Also fits early 111 sedans, and all Pagodas.

"jetskier", does the car have manual or automatic transmission?
The p/n 111-463-25-01 that Tom listed is only valid for cars with manual transmission, not with automatic. For those you'd need p/n 112-463-16-01.

Hi there, the car is a 4-speed so that part number should be sufficient. Thank you for all of the information, I appreciate it so much!
