The wiring diagram for my '67 calls for amp fuses. The original looking fuses are marked with the number 16. Are all of the European fuses rated different than the US?
I know that on my TR6 the fuses are rated differently. If the book calls for a 10 amp British fuse then a US 5 amp should be used.

Not sure what you are typing about. Most of the fuses in the Pagoda are 8 amp. These are readily available from the usual sources.

I guess what confused me is that the 8 amp original  fuses that I checked were marked with the number 16.

I can see where that location would confuse a person. I live in SW Virginia.

I checked the fuses. The new type fuses are marled 8 amp. The original looking fuses have the number 16.

You may want to check and correct your account related settings as the address you have given will not enable you to receive the Pagoda World if it is posted out to Afganistan, that is of course you do actually live in Afganastan as you have entered in your account for your postal address.

The rating of Amps is determined according to the physics laws and they are universal. The geographic location has nothing to do with the amps rating. If Mercedes already assigned 8 Amps fuse, it should be used regardless where you are even if you are on Saturn.

at Saturn the temperature is around - 180 degrees Celsius.
It would give a broader use before the melting point of the wire would be at danger. A 5A fuse would probably do.

All original pagoda fuses were white ceramic and 8amp, except for the "short" fuse which is  white ceramic and 16 amp.

He is correct. Short fuses are 25 amp. If you have something marked 16 amp theyy're not right fora 113 car and it's very likely someone hanged them when they had nothing else to use.

 Using incorrect fuses can cause wires to melt or run hot when a fuse of the proper rating would easily blow while dealing with a short.
