The hard top has come off and is stored away until November....

If you're near Flassans (Domaine de Peyrassol), you may want to keep an eye open for a couple of Pagodas on the 4th June. In the PM they'll be doing Flassans towards St Tropez so will likely come right through your town. Good excuse for a couple of glasses of something in the town square: 95 old cars in total, Rallye des Princesses. I can't confirm the route though!

Really nice... Enjoy the Springtime! My Hardtop never went on this last season -- some years it does, others it doesn't. However, the soft-top has been up since November and its about time to for a new look.

Looking very good. It was an unacceptable 3C this morning in Edinburgh.

I noticed that you have black number plates in the newer format on your car. I have not noticed this before as most of the black plates seem to be in the old format with the department number at the end. Do you mind me asking whether your car is registered on a CG collection or a CG normal? My car is also registered in PACA (06) on a CG normal and when I registered it in 2012 the man at the number plate shop said that he could not make me black plates unless I had a CG collection. The white plates with all the PACA embellishments are a bit ugly and I would like to put mine onto black plates. I have wondered about having a set of black plates made up and swapping back on to the white ones when I take the car in for its CT.

James- thanks for the heads up! The route would run right through La Garde Freinet. We have one of the best caves à vin in Provence, Le Cellier, owned by my good friend Hervé Sauvage, it's ideal for a pit stop on the way into St. Tropez!

Best,
Mike

Thanks James! The hard top goes on every year, it gets cold enough by December-January. I take great pleasure in the "ritual" of removing the hard top when spring comes around and putting it away!
The electric hoist in my garage gets used only twice a year,  winter and spring...

Best,
Mike

Andrew- my car is registered on a normal CG. I ordered my number plates online from Mon Ancienne: http://www.monancienne.com/pieces.asp?code0_ref=ANC&code1_ref=IMM&code2_ref=IMM&langue=GB
If you scroll down their web page to the 4th & 6th items, you'll see that you can order those plates for cars that were manufactured/first registered pre Dec. 1992.

Once you order the plates, all you have to do is email them a copy of your carte grise which indicates that your vehicle's year of
manufacture was 1966. I received the plates by post within 4 days of ordering.

Best,
Mike

Thank you. I will give that a go - also for my 1976 Deuche if I can find anything solid enough to fix new plates on to!

Work permitting we hope to head down for 10 days next month.
