On the other Pininfarina Mercedes,not a pagoda

This one came later, a four seater coupe, when the "flat surfsce" look came in, From the front iooks horrible but the side seems to have influenced the RR Camargue.
In the article here it says the buyer at one point was somebody who bought every prototype in sight. What a far thinking individual! Does anyone ever remember seeing a classified offering this car? I don't know if it ever came to America--PF was obviously trying to pitch MB tp have them build it so there was no need for PF to show it in the U.S. See the story with pictures here:

In that first picture it looks much more like a BMW 630 coupe to me than a Rolls Royce. I like the look.

I'll go rather for a similarity with Volvo or Mazda of the time.
Today it's tough to imagine that Mercedes could go into that route
