A Pagoda visits The Pagoda
« on: April 22, 2014, 00:58:40 »
This is something I always wanted to do, get I picture of my car next to a real pagoda.  These structures may be very common in East Asia but they are a rare site in the USA.  The first one I saw was in Disney World at the Japan pavilion.  But a search on the internet turned up a site in nearby Reading, PA http://www.readingpagoda.com/ .   Built in 1906, it is 7 stories high, 28 feet wide, 50 feet long - standing 620 feet above the City of Reading and 866 feet above sea level.
This is the first long drive since fixing the Fuel Starvation problem http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=20156.0  I went about 145 miles according to the GPS and 152 miles on the odometer.  My speedometer is reading about 4 MPH faster than the GPS.  The tank used 6.8 gallons to give me about 21MPG using the GPS millage.
I would love to make this an event if there are more local W113 Pagoda owners in the area.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Great idea. Congratulations on fulfilling your Pagoda dream. Hope that you will gather many members to join you for this planned event.

I think that this building  should be elected our honorary US headquarters for the newly incorporated organisation  :)
