Borgward
« on: April 13, 2014, 18:36:10 »
Today I got a visit from two Borgward friends. An Isabella and Isabella Coupe, beautiful German cars from the 50th. Unfortunately, the production was set in 1961. The year i was born.

I agree with Ger:-) I do remember seeing a few of those running around on the streets in LA many years ago. I imagine they are really rare these days.

I had an Isabelle Coupe running around in LA about 15 years ago.  It was a truly lovely car.  Sort of apples/oranges compared to a Pagoda, but it its own way extremely stylish.  It is the car I most regret not hanging onto.

You are right, but Borgward was after the war, a very prestigious and modern car and truck brand. In Germany there is still a very small circle of his fans.

Love that Phillp's record player in the 4th picture. Pretty "High Tech" in those days:-)
