Seat assembly
« on: July 08, 2013, 18:08:10 »
Hi, all  I'm putting my seats back together and have made a trial run but seem to have eight black plastic spacer type things left over.  The only place I think they might go is between the steel dog-leg bracket and the side of the seat itself, as a kind of spacer to keep the steel away from the leather.  I can't seem to find anything in the Parts List catalogue.  Am I right on this?  Yes, I should have documented the removal better.  Oh well, next time.

Yep, you answered your question.
They do keep the dogleg hinge bracket from the leather.

Thanks for the quick reply, Walter.  I thought I could feel the plug holes under the leather but I didn't want to chance making the holes until I was sure.  Maybe it would help if I could find the old seat covers.

I was fortunate that the seat bottoms and backs were supple enough that I could reuse them.  Good luck on the seat rebuild.  I think it will be challenging.
